Pat Taylor is Associate Counsel with Forstrom Jackson. She has been practicing law since 1987. Initially, she practiced in Toronto, Ontario as an associate with Osler, Hoskin and Harcourt. In 1995 Pat returned to Vancouver and she was called to the Bar of British Columbia. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia. Since her return to Vancouver, Pat worked in both private and public practice. She was the senior legal counsel and manager of the litigation branch of the Enforcement Division of the British Columbia Securities Commission. Pat appears as counsel before the British Columbia Securities Commission and the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada. She has also appeared in proceedings before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Pat advises market participants on all aspects of enforcement of and compliance with regulations relating to the Securities Act, self-regulatory bodies, exchanges, quotation and trade-reporting systems, and clearing agencies. Pat assists reporting issuers, securities dealers, advisers and investor relations providers. In addition, she advises on shareholder disputes and fiduciary obligations. Through her experience as a regulator, Pat provides advice to issuers and brokerage firms regarding matters of regulatory reporting and corporate governance.

Pat participates in various charitable organizations. She serves as a director of Women in the Lead, Inc., a not-for-profit organization whose mission includes assisting qualified Canadian women in attaining corporate board appointments and addressing matters of corporate governance. She is a board member of the West Point Grey Academy Foundation and served as the Chair of the Equality and Diversity Committee of the Canadian Bar Association, British Columbia Branch.
